And our league the Junior League of Lee County is very proud of that historic reputation, but as society changes, we adapt and evolve. We strive to put our venerable values to work in modern ways; demonstrating our pride and perpetuating our legacy by serving as a powerful voice for action, justice and change throughout Lee County. Together, we are working to empower our members to strengthen the leadership, power, and voices of school-aged girls and young women in Lee County to result in increased confidence, courage, knowledge, and personal development. We are committing to reaching our 2025 goal of increasing girls’ access to menstrual supplies to mitigate period poverty in Lee County, AL, and to reduce the barriers girls have to participate in organized sports. Alabama women will lead this important initiative. Will you be one of them?

When new members apply, they are invited to join a year-long class that provide them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the Junior League of Lee County’s current community goal of strengthening the leadership, power, and voices of school-aged girls and young women in Lee County to result in increased confidence, courage, knowledge, and personal development
The Junior League of Lee County Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be 21 years old by September 1st to be eligible for membership.
- Applicants must reside or work in Lee County, Alabama.
